Claud E. “Son” White Sr.

Services for Claud E. “Son” White Sr., 85, of Houston will be at 12:15 p.m. Saturday at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lamon Atkins officiating. The family will receive condolence calls during the viewing from 11 a.m. until the service begins. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. White died Tuesday in Houston. He was born in Palestine in 1923. He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1940. Mr. White was preceded in death by his father, Willie White; mother, Marie Randolph Easley; and sister, Aniece White Arthur. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris White; daughters, Annette Grant and Donna Armylagos (George); son, Claud White Jr. (Carrie); five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, all of Houston.
